Pine Ridge PD to hold their own National Night Out
Pine Ridge, SC – On Tuesday, August 7th, 2018, neighborhoods throughout Pine Ridge are invited to join over 38 million neighbors across approximately 16 thousand communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide for the “35th Annual National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police - community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Together, we are making that happen.
The Town of Pine Ridge and the Pine Ridge Police Department are looking forward to coming face to face with the community for one night of fun and festivities throughout the town. National Night Out will be held at South Congaree Baptist Church at 101 Pine Ridge Dr, West Columbia, SC 29172 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. During that time, neighbors throughout Pine Ridge and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on their front porch lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law enforcement officials. Local Project Coordinator, Chief Nicholas Scott said, “This will be a great opportunity to interact, have fun and promote positive police-community partnerships. With the collaboration of the community and law enforcement, anything is possible. We will have face painting, a bounce house, emergency vehicle demonstrations, catered food, giveaways and a photo screen for memories. Please come.”
