Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher releases preliminary autopsy findings of Baby Girl Geller
Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the preliminary autopsy findings on the infant who is now being called Baby Girl Geller. This infant child was found dead on August 4, 2018 in a bag in her mother’s car while her mother was seeking treatment for herself as a result of having delivered the baby. Apparently, the baby had been left there in the car without treatment for herself overnight.
According to Coroner Fisher, an autopsy was performed on Baby Girl Geller on August 6, 2018. The manner of death was determined to have been homicide, and the cause of death is pending additional studies and testing.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating, and the mother of Baby Girl Geller has been charged with homicide by child abuse and has been jailed where she has been denied bond.
