Tri-County Electric holds member-called meeting August 18
St. Matthews, SC (Angelica Iglesias) - According to their website, Tri-County Electric Cooperative is holding a member-called meeting Saturday, August 18 at 8:00 a.m. to vote on the removal of the remaining members of the Board of Trustees of Tri-County Electric Cooperative at their office located at 6473 Old State Road in St. Matthews. Members will also vote on the adoption of new bylaws.
This meeting is being held after all six Board of Trustees members failed to attend their own Board's meeting where dozens of Tri-County Electric Cooperative members showed up to give complaints.
Many members want the entire Board removed after learning that the Board members have compensated themselves as much as $50,000 a year for a part-time position without Tri-County Electric Cooperative members approval.
Tri-County Electric Cooperative covers a small potion of Lexington County near Gaston and Sandy Run.
