Someone makes off with trailer full of sound equipment, instruments from Oak Grove area church, but
Oak Grove, SC (Paul Kirby) Recently, someone who was obviously not filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, made off with a trailer full of sound equipment and other items used in weekly worship services at 12 Springs Community Church. The church, located in the 3500 block of Leaphart Rd. near West Columbia, certainly misses the things that were stolen, but the praise a worship leader said last Sunday during church services said she wasn’t mad. The church’s pastor says most the church’s members feel violated, but they will overcome the loss. It’s going to take more than the loss of their equipment to stop them. The praise and worship equipment are just possessions, but a church is the people. As long as they have the people, they’ll continue to have the church even if they just have to clap their hands or even sit on the floor.
The thieves that stole from the church were very slick. They used an all-black pickup truck with a yellow flashing light as they went around the building that houses the church. Anyone who might have seen them, could easily have believed that it was a security company checking the church and building for safety. When they pulled out with the trailer, the flashing light was off and all you can see on the surveillance footage is the distinct all-black truck pulling the white enclosed trailer.
