Irmo, SC - The Irmo Police Department along with the assistance of other local law enforcement agencies will be out in force to help keep the motoring public safe during the Labor Day Weekend. Our officers will be conducting a Public Safety Checkpoint within the Town of Irmo on Friday, August 31, 2018 and other increased patrols along our many busy roads including Lake Murray Boulevard, St. Andrews Road, Broad River Road and Dreher Shoals Road.

Officers will be conducting the checkpoint and increased patrols in response to collision incidents, traffic complaints, and previous enforcement in this area focused on speeding and unsafe driving practices. Officers will be checking driver’s licenses, vehicle registration, and insurance.
