Obituary of Jody C. Keisler

Lexington, SC - A graveside service for Jody C. Keisler, 48, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Lexington Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at 165 Gravedigger Road in the barbeque shed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 42040, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Mr. Keisler was born October 20, 1969 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. He was the son of Bobby C. and Rachel Taylor Keisler. He was a “business in the front and party in the back” type of guy who loved hunting, Nascar, Clemson football, grilling and any kind of cooking. He started digging graves at the age of six with his dad, and later became the owner/operator of Lexington Burial Service. Jody was kind hearted and always willing to help others. He loved his family and friends, and affectionately earned the nickname “Cubby”. He is survived by his parents; son, Zachary Clifton Keisler (Bri Price); sisters, Ronda (Dave) Golden, Donna (Ashley) Hicks; fiancé, Christina Woodcock; nieces, Brooklyn Golden, Hannah Hicks; nephews, Cameron Golden, Brandon Shirey; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and his dogs, Hank, Remi and River. He was predeceased by his dog, Gauge. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
