Leesville, SC (Paul Kirby) – The fire that was reported about 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Buck’s Frame & Alignment off Truex Road has caused one county firefighter and one civilian to be transported to the hospital with what is being described as heat exhaustion. The fire at the business that has been at the same location for decades, has sustained approximately $300,000 in damages. According to the county, the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Buck’s, owned by the Felder family for many years, was well-known as an honest business that provided quality services at a reasonable price. It was started by Buck Felder and his wife Leila Felder and still run today by Eddie Felder and Scooter Sullivan.

The family is well known for their support of the community. Many times, the business’ owner provided cars for county firefighters to practice their vehicle extrication techniques, and each year they provided custom, unique trophies for the Nazfest Car Show at the Pelion Church of the Nazarene in Pelion.
