Swansea PD releases video & pictures of Paparoni’s Pizza armed robbery suspects

Swansea, SC (Paul Kirby) Police Chief Clif Hayes of Swansea released clear video surveillance footage as well as still pictures Monday of the two men who held up Paparoni’s Pizza, a popular local eatery and bar, in the town Saturday night. Hayes said that the footage was much clearer than shots from the video he had before and hoped that someone would recognize the suspects and turn them in. He also said that SLED was invaluable in helping to obtain the clearer footage and he appreciated their assistance with this case.

Two black males believed to be in their late 20’s or early 30’s went into the store Saturday night wearing hoodies, presented guns, demanded money from the register. They then fled on foot. There has been no indication that they had a car waiting, and the sheriff’s department K9's were unable to locate them Saturday.

If you recognize these suspects or have any information on this robbery, please contact the Swansea Police Department at 803-568-3366, their dispatch at 803-785-2521, or contact Midlands Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
