Town of Pine Ridge getting set to celebrate 60-years in a few weeks

Pine Ridge, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Town of Pine Ridge is making the final preparations for the 60th anniversary of its incorporation soon. The formal celebration will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Much of the activities will be taking place at the Midland Girls Softball Complex located at 2768 Fish Hatchery Road. On the other side of the road at the little town hall, there will also be a historical exhibit that will display and explain some of the rich history of the area and how Pine Ridge got its start.

If you have children or want to have some fun, on the softball complex side of the road there will be free rides, craft and food vendors, and much more. There will also be special guests and entertainment on the Pine Ridge Pharmacy Stage all day long. At 4:30 p.m., the Under the Sun band will perform.

Many groups and businesses have pitched in to make this anniversary a success. This includes the elected officials and small staff of the town and businesses like Pine Ridge Pharmacy, Lucas Septic Tank, Charwood Country Club, Nephron Pharmaceutical Company, SC State Representative Mac Toole, Palmetto Design Associates, and the Pine Ridge Women’s Club.
