Mobile home burns near Three Fountains Sunday night

Three Fountains, SC (Paul Kirby) - Just after 10:00 p.m. Sunday night, a mobile home was severely damaged by fire near the Three Fountains area of the county. According to Harrison Cahill, spokesman for Lexington County, firefighters from six fire stations were on the scene and quickly brought the fire under control.

Cahill said that there were no injuries, and though the home is now unlivable, the home owners declined the assistance of the American Red Cross. Cahill said that the fire service had 10 units on the scene with 22 personnel. EMS also responded for standby. Cahill said that firefighters estimated that the damage to the home was approximately $70,000. He did not say what started the fire.
