School District One cancels collaborative planning day scheduled for this week

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington School District One is trying to finish out its first semester that has been altered several times by hurricane closures of the school. Their students missed another first semester school day on Thursday, Oct. 11th, due to Hurricane Michael.

In a press release sent over the weekend, Chief Communications Officer Mary Beth Hill said, “We are not yet ready to announce when we will make up that day, and simply adding another day to the end of the second semester does not solve our first-semester students’ need for more instruction.”
