West Columbia Police Arrest Suspect For Attempted Murder

(West Columbia, S.C.)- The West Columbia Police Department has charged a Richland County man with attempted murder. This incident occurred on October 16, 2018 at 450 Meeting St. in the City of West Columbia.

Investigators have charged Antonio Eugene Howell, 37, of 4600 Fort Jackson Blvd., Columbia S.C., with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Firearm during a Violent Crime.

Howell got into a verbal argument with another individual at 450 Meeting St. During the argument, Howell presented a handgun and shot the victim twice and then left the scene.

The suspect will be booked at the Lexington County Detention Center.
