Town of South Congaree looking for Christmas lovers ready to help repair Snowflakes!

South Congaree, SC (Paul Kirby) - Are you a community minded person who loves Christmas? I know some of you are. The town of South Congaree needs your help to freshen up the snowflakes that go on the poles along Main Street at Christmas. Over the years, they’ve fallen into disrepair, but the town has gathered the resources to freshen them all up before the holidays. Now they just need willing hands. You don’t have to be an electrician or even a skilled craftsman, just someone willing to help.

The town has been able to order the material to repair all 32 snowflakes! They have already removed the old strings of lights and the snowflakes have been painted. They are ready to re-string the lights and they need volunteers to help.

They’re asking for willing folks to meet tomorrow afternoon, Saturday, October 20th at 1:00 p.m. to start the work. Willing hands should report to the South Congaree Town Hall at 119 West Berry Road, West Columbia. You need not bring anything but a some holiday cheer in your heart and the desire to help your community.
