Overturned tractor trailer blocks exit ramp to I-26 for much of the day Monday

Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) – A Tractor trailer truck overturned on the exit ramp to I-26 eastbound at the Charleston Highway (Hwy 321 S) exit on Monday morning closing the ramp for an extended period of time. Officers and fire equipment from the Cayce Department of Public Safety responded and ensured the driver wasn’t seriously injured or that the truck wasn't leaking hazardous fluids.

At some point, the scene was turned over to the SCDOT and the SC Transport Police. They worked throughout the day to make sure that wreckers were able to get the truck back on its wheels and moved off the ramp. The entire mess wasn’t cleaned up for many hours.
