Truck stolen from Columbia used to rob liquor store near Gilbert and Leesville
Gilbert, SC (Paul Kirby) – A pickup truck that was used to break into and rob a liquor store near Gilbert is now believed to have been stolen from outside an apartment complex in Richland County. Its owner wants his truck back and Lexington County Sheriff’s Department investigators would like to question whoever took it about the burglary at the store.
The entire break-in at the store was caught on video. Two men backed the truck up to the front of the building, hooked a rope or chain to its doors, and then pulled those doors completely off their mounts. Then, the two pillaged the store taking liquor by filling the truck’s bed and even taking down light bulbs and some signs from the store front. The entire thing was caught on video.
