“Gone in 60-Seconds” car thief behind bars!

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Several Saturdays ago, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department released a video of a man stealing an SUV outside the Circle K on South Lake Drive. The man stole the running car in a flash while its owner was inside the store. Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for the sheriff’s department tweeted recently, “Thanks to multiple tips, investigators identified the man as Trey Bryant. He’s being held in the Lexington County Detention Center on numerous charges from separate incidents.”

You may recall that Bryant got out of another vehicle and jumped into the SUV when it was stolen. At first, the deputies thought that the other man might be Bryant’s accomplice in the theft. Myrick said that deputies were able to speak with the second man in the video, but it was determined he was not involved in the theft of the vehicle and he will not be charged.
