West Columbia house fire quickly knocked down

West Columbia, SC (Angelica Iglesias) - A West Columbia home fire was quickly brought under control Tuesday morning, November 20.

Lexington County Dispatch received a call at approximately 8:10 a.m. of a structure fire on the 600 block of Carrington Drive in West Columbia.

According to West Columbia Fire Chief Marquis Solomon, firefighters promptly arrived on scene and saw smoke coming from the home. Between the West Columbia Fire Department and the Lexington County Fire Service, they were able to get the blaze under control quickly.

There were no injuries. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and an estimated dollar loss for the structure has not been released.
