Dixiana SC (Paul Kirby) – A vehicle crashed into a utility pole Friday night off Charleston Hwy. knocking out power to a small number of customers in the area until it could be repaired. According to one motorist, a portion of the highway was completely closed, and law enforcement officers were turning cars around while the power pole was broken, and lines were down blocking the road. Eventually, the utility company was able to make the necessary repairs to get the line out of the road and the power back on to their customers.

The condition of the occupant(s) of the car have not been released. The SCHP is investigating the accident and they have not said if any charges have been brought in the incident.
