White Knoll Varsity Wrestling Team enjoys successes over the first weekend in December

White Knoll, SC (Paul Kirby) - The White Knoll High School wrestling program had a busy and successful weekend during the first week of December. The varsity wrestlers traveled to Beaufort County with 11 boys to compete in the May River Invitational. The team finished in 2nd place out of the 22 schools that competed.

Seven individual wrestlers placed in the event in their individual weight classes. Nolon Shannon won 2nd in the 113 lbs. class, Quinten Dodd took 2nd in the 132 lb. class, Jared Hudson won 3rd in the 138 lb. class, Jack Scott 3rd in the 145 lb. class, Cam Drake, 3rd in the 170 lb. class, Cole Banks 3rd 152 lb. class, and Ty Shealy who placed 4th in the 195 lb. class.

The wrestling team also sent their 2nd team to the Irmo Duals where they went 4-1 and finished in second place. These are the scores from the Irmo Duals.
