Springdale PD catch three young Grinches in the act Christmas Eve

Springdale, SC (Paul Kirby) - During the early morning hours of December 24th, a Springdale police officer stopped three suspicious people on Hollydale Road in the town. Through the process of speaking with the subjects and a thorough investigation, the officer found that the three had been involved in at least one auto break in. They had also attempted to enter an unoccupied vehicle. The three had parked their car on Hollydale Road and walked through the neighborhoods searching for cars with doors that were not locked. They had entered at least one vehicle in the process.

The three suspects included an 18 year-old, a 17 year-old, and a 15 year-old juvenile who all had been involved. The two older suspects were arrested. Charges against the juvenile will be pursued through DJJ. The three will be charged with auto-breaking, auto tampering, possession of marijuana, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Springdale officers were assisted by personnel from the South Congaree Police Department.
