Lexington County Sheriff’s Department in the early stages of a death investigation near Gaston

Gaston, SC (Paul Kirby) – Investigators from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department are in the early stages of a death investigation in the 200 block of Meadowfield Road Sunday. Earlier in the day, fire and EMS crews were dispatched to a home for a medically related call. They were advised to stand-by until deputies arrived to ensure the scene was secured.

A spokesman for the sheriff’s department says that they do have crime scene investigators on the scene Sunday afternoon. They are collecting evidence at this time and interviewing the family members. They have said that they are not currently searching for any suspects.
