Springdale police officers charge several suspects during two-month long special drug investigation
Springdale, SC (Paul Kirby) – During the last two months of 2018, the Springdale Police Department conducted a special investigation they called Operation Rolling Thunder. The operation was a result of numerous complaints of drug activity in town. The operation proactively addressed locations and areas where drug activity was suspected to be occurring and areas known to have drugs transported to, through, and from them.Eventually, officers say that 22 people will be charged in conjunction with the operation.
The charges are as follows:
Possession of marijuana - 14
Possession of drug paraphernalia - 12
Possession of methamphetamine - 1
Possession with Intent to distribute methamphetamine - 1
Possession of heroin - 1
Possession of crack cocaine - 2
Possession of schedule IV narcotics - 1
Unlawful carrying of a firearm - 1
Felon in possession of a firearm - 1
Possession of a stolen vehicle - 1
The Springdale Department said that they will not be releasing the names of individuals charged at this time because some investigations are still ongoing.
