Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) – A vehicle caught fire and burned on the I-77 on ramp from the 12th Street Extension Tuesday afternoon. The Cayce Department of Public Safety responded with a fire engine and crew to put the fire out. When they arrived, smoke was billowing from the vehicle, but the firefighters and public safety officers worked together to fight the fire and keep the crews safe from traffic passing.

The Cayce DPS has not said what started the fire or issued any description of the vehicle or a dollar figure on the loss because of the fire. The vehicle appeared to be totaled as a result of the fire.
