West Columbia PD in early stages of stabbing investigation Thursday morning

West Columbia, SC (Paul Kirby) – The West Columbia Police Department is in the early stages of a stabbing investigation. The stabbing happened around 5:20 a.m. Thursday morning at 136 Inview Road.

According to Assistant Chief Scott Morrison of the West Columbia Police Department, two men who both resided at that location got into an altercation and one stabbed the other twice. The assailant then fled the scene. Fire and EMS responded, and the injured man was transported to Palmetto Richland for treatment. His condition is not known at this time. Their investigation is ongoing.
