Two men receive long sentences in Gaston murder
Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Two men have received long sentences for murdering a Gaston man in 2017. According to 11th Circuit Solicitor Rick Hubbard, Clenord Graham has been sentenced to life in prison. His accomplice, Anthony Allen, has been sentenced to 40 years without the possibility of parole. The pair had originally been charged with murder, kidnapping, burglary and criminal conspiracy.
In 2017, Robert "RJ" Kobylak, age 67, was murdered in his Shadow Dale Drive home near Gaston during a robbery. Investigators believe that he was robbed of a safe filled with rare coins of which the victim was an avid collector. The pair also stole Kobylak's car. Anthony Allen, Jr. was just 22, and Clenord Graham, 33, at the time the crime was committed. At least one of them told a number of people that they had committed the crime. Eventually, investigators found the car with much of the evidence inside the trunk.
Both Graham and Allen are being transferred to the SC Department of Corrections to begin serving their sentences.
