It’s Knox Abbott Drive week in Cayce & West Columbia

Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) – Last year, the city of Cayce aspired to turn Knox Abbott Drive into a true gateway for the cities of Cayce, West Columbia, and Lexington County. A project like this takes time and involves lots of digging, scraping, planting, and other difficult task that will make the drive more beautiful, but this was all very disruptive to business owners who have been enduring all the construction.

In honor of those businesses that have been patient throughout this process, the Greater Cayce – West Columbia Chamber of Commerce is recognizing January 27 through February 2 as Knox Abbott Drive Week. During this week, the CWC Chamber of Commerce is asking you to support our Knox Abbott Drive businesses. It will give our community the opportunity to show support for our local merchants during this construction period. It will also allow you to see how things are coming along and visualize how beautiful everything will look when complete.

During this week, you can certainly take a few moments to enjoy some great spaghetti from Tony’s Pizza, a massive burger from Vella’s, a mega-sandwich from the Sub Station II, or a meat and three from the Lizard’s Thicket. Maybe you need to get some boxes, shipping tape, or rent a truck to move someone or something? Try the U-Haul center. You can buy Carhart Clothing, work boots, or safety shoes at Red Wings Shoes or rent some tables for that special event or even a small tractor to dig a hole from Aaro Rental Center. There’s lots of choices for banks if you need to open an account, Butch Wallace has your insurance needs covered with State Farm, and there’s even a place to have the crystal or battery changed in your watch. There’re several choices for car repairs and much more. It’s all right there on Knox Abbott Drive.

Go visit Knox Abbot Drive this week. Stop and stroll through Guinard Park and just enjoy the day. You may ask yourself why you waited so long to stop and check out the stores.
