Friends of the Lexington Main Library’s Father Daughter Valentine’s dance sold out again for 2019
Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Friends of the Lexington Main Library are pleased as party punch that their Father Daughter Valentine’s dance scheduled for Saturday, February 9, 2019 has sold out for the fourth year in a row. The dance provides fathers and grandfathers an opportunity to create a special memory for their little girls while supporting the Children’s Area at the Lexington Main Library. It’s so large, it must be held at Lexington High School.
The dance is for dads and daughters of all ages. Each year, this party draws 1,200 dads and little girls all dressed up and dancing, getting their pictures taken together, enjoying food, flowers, sweet treats and even a confetti shower. According to Marlena White, director of The Friends of Lexington Main Library, there’s absolutely nothing like witnessing a bunch of 5 year-olds doing the Electric Slide!
This fundraiser has become a hallmark event in Lexington County and a great opportunity for the community to enjoy the event and support the library. This is the 4th straight year the dance has sold out. In late 2019 and early 2020, you can check the Friends of Lexington Main Library webpage, so you won’t miss out next year!!
