Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) – A small box truck caught fire and burned on Cemetery Lane off Fish Hatchery Monday afternoon. This is about a block off Charleston Highway and the I-77 on ramp just inside the city of Cayce. It’s also close to the Carolina Wings & Rib House.
The engine compartment and cab of the truck were completely destroyed by the time firefighters from the Cayce Department of Public Safety arrived. They were able to salvage the cargo area of the vehicle. No cause was given for the fire that was said to be under control just before 5:00 p.m.
