Fort Jackson Exchange recognizes Vietnam Veterans at pinning ceremony

Fort Jackson, SC - Everyone who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time from Nov. 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location, is invited to receive a commemorative Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin in a ceremony at the Fort Jackson Exchange.

National Vietnam War Veterans Day, Friday, March 29 at 11:30 a.m. at Fort Jackson Exchange, 4110 Moseby Street, Columbia, S.C., 29207. Vietnam-era Veterans were often not properly welcomed home, and for many of these service members, these ceremonies are the first time they are being thanked publically for their service.

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service has been a Commemorative Partner with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration since 2013, planning and conducting events and activities that recognize Vietnam Veterans and their families for service, valor and sacrifice. The program is administered by the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
