Pelion Middle pageant raises support for Lighthouse for Life

Pelion, SC - Pelion Middle School’s annual pageant did more than crown a winner on Friday, March 8. Contestants, family members and guests also supported a worthy cause in their community.

The 2019 Miss Junior Panther pageant raised more than $500 for Lighthouse for Life, a human trafficking awareness organization based in Lexington County. Eighth-grader Kassidy Bice won Miss Heart of Gold, raising a total of $150 the week prior to and the night of the pageant.

Seventh-grader Kennedy Taylor won the title of 2019 Miss Junior Panther, with class representatives Miss Eighth Grade Halle Lucas, Miss Seventh Grade Mikayla Dimery and Miss Sixth Grade Emily Sharpe.

Other winners from the evening include Miss Congeniality Stacy Puckett, Eighth-Grade First Runner-Up Gabi Balleza, Seventh-Grade First Runner-Up Caryn Horsley and Sixth-Grade First Runner-Up Ainsleigh Olsen.
