Irmo Police Chief Don Perry swears in new patrol officer

Irmo, SC (Paul Kirby) – Recently, Chief Don Perry of the Irmo Police Department gave the oath of office to Chris Shirley as a patrolman with the department. Shirley is assigned to Squad 1 of the Patrol Division.

Shirley, of Irmo, brings nine years of service as a corrections officer with him. He has also had two years of law enforcement experience with West Columbia Police Department prior to making this move. His experience in both previous jobs adds invaluable experience that will benefit the department and the citizens of Lexington County. Chief Perry welcomed Patrolman Shirley to the Irmo Police Department on behalf of his team, the citizens and the town’s leadership.
