Swansea police still investigating after armed robbery at Family Dollar Friday
Swansea, SC (Paul Kirby) – Swansea Police Chief Clif Hayes said that his department is following up on leads after the Family Dollar store was held up Friday by a man armed with a box cutter. Hayes said that the black male suspect was wearing a hoodie when he presented the cutter with a razor’s edge and demanded money. He fled on foot back toward Highway 321 south.
Chief Hayes said that they did process a car on Main Street after one like it was reported near the store just before the robbery. He said that they don’t currently believe the driver or the car was involved in the robbery.
Chef Hayes asked that the public keep their eyes and ears open for any clues that might help police solve this case.
