Lexington PD joins with Sheriff's Department for Cinco de Mayo celebration
Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - The Lexington Police Department and the Lexington County Sheriff's Department are hosting an event that will be much like a small family fun day. It will be held Sunday as their own way of celebrating a traditionally Hispanic holiday that's now growing in popularity in the US! They are combining forces and are inviting families to the Victorian Lakes MHC on Sunday, May 5th for a Cinco de Mayo celebration. The Sunday afternoon event will include games, music, food, entertainment, face painting and more. This event will also focus on outreach and available services to the Hispanic community in the Town of Lexington and County of Lexington, SC and beyond. Harvest Hope Food Bank, the Dickerson Children's Advocacy Center, Radius Church - Lexington, River Bluff High School, Lighthouse For Life, Goodwill Industries International, Inc. and SC Victim Assistance Network are all supporting this event.
