Coroner identifies man killed Tuesday evening in crash on Jessamine Road

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the man who was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Jessamine Road Monday evening. According to Fisher, Ronald Joseph Dasta, 71, of West Columbia was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. He was in a Jeep Wrangler by himself when it left the road and hit a tree.

The accident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
