Lexington, SC – The Lexington Police Department has several fundraising events to benefit the American Cancer Society planned this week with their Relay for Life team. Officers and volunteers will be collecting donations at Chick-fil-A of Lexington during breakfast and lunch Wednesday and Thursday and then will be working with Panera at the Relay for Life event at the Lexington High School on Friday evening.
On Wednesday, May 15 and Thursday, May 16, 2019, Lexington Police Department officers, with the help from Volunteers in Police Services (V.I.P.S.) members, will be at the Chick-fil-A of Lexington, which is located at 5560 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington, from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.each day.
During the two-day event at Chick-fil-A of Lexington, officers and V.I.P.S. will be collecting donations of cash, check or credit card at the front door area of the restaurant and in the drive thru lanes. Chick-fil-A of Lexington will be giving away complimentary treat or sandwich cards to use at a later visit for those who make certain donations and there will be Relay for Life apparel and gear for purchase.
On Friday, May 17, 2019, the Lexington Police Department will be at the Relay for Life event at the Lexington High School, which is located at 2463 Augusta Road in Lexington, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and Panera will be providing iced coffee and a cookie decorating station that officers and V.I.P.S. will be assisting with.
