Autopsy shows man beat his grandmother before stabbing her and her dog to death

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the autopsy results from the homicide that occurred on Neely Wingard Road earlier this week. Elaine Hall, 77, was killed by her grandson according to sheriff’s investigators.

Coroner Fisher stated Friday that the autopsy, completed on June 7, 2019, found that Hall was stabbed multiple time in the chest causing her death. Fisher said that Hall was also beaten prior to being stabbed.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department has charged Hall’s grandson, Dustin Edward Hoff, 30, with murder. He is from the Gilbert area of Lexington County. He is currently being held in the Lexington County Detention Center.
