Summer feeding program kicks off in Lexington with several added opportunities

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - The kickoff event for the Lexington School District One’s Summer Feeding Program is today at the Rosenwald Community Learning Center on Hendrix Street in Lexington. It will begin at 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If you don’t live in that area, several other schools in Lexington County School District One will also feature the feeding portion of the activities they are starting today in Lexington.

LPD will be there doing free child safety seat checks, and officers will be also be making child I.D. cards too. Lexington PD is simply using this first day as a way to offer more services that can make our community safe. The Rosenwald Community Learning Center is located at 420 Hendrix St, Lexington, SC 29072
