Springdale Police Department to debut new “Dolphin” crusader for school resource officer

Springdale, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Springdale Police Department is debuting their latest cruiser, and it is marked a bit differently than their current cars. This one will be driven by the department’s school resource officer who’s assigned to Springdale Elementary. SRO Harrelson’s cruiser, the newest vehicle in Springdale’s fleet, has an eye-catching design that features Springdale Elementary School’s mascot, the dolphin, on its side!

“We want the community, school and students to feel a sense of involvement with our police department,” said Chief Richbourg when asked about the design of the car. The Springdale Police Department is focused on proactive and community driven policing. “The new car is another way to bring the community together and show our school spirit,” according to the chief.
