Coroner identifies man killed in crash on Saint Matthews Road near Swansea
Swansea, SC (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identified the man who died Sunday evening as a result of a vehicle collision near Swansea. The accident occurred in the 1000 block of Saint Matthews Road.
According to Coroner Fisher, Myron W. Riley, 61, of Swansea was pronounced dead at the scene. Fisher reported that Riley was driving westbound toward Swansea when his vehicle left the right side of the road, went down an embankment, overturned, and collided with a home. Fisher said that Riley was not wearing a seat belt when the incident occurred.
The collision is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
