Five Lexington County girls win state titles in pageant

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Recently, the Little Miss South Carolina pageant crowned their State Royal Court. When the awards were presented, five young ladies from Lexington County were winners.

The pageant was held in Hartsville, SC at the historic Center Theater. 124 contestants from across South Carolina competed during the week. At program’s end, over $30,000 in scholarships and other prizes had been awarded.

There were numerous categories in which to compete. When the pageant concluded, the five ladies from Lexington were crowned in a number of these. They included:

• Alexis Moore – Little Miss SC of Chapin, SC

• Susannah Counts – Little Miss South Carolina Overall Queen of Gilbert, SC

• Emily Garris – Young Miss Teen SC from Gilbert,SC

• Madison Barrett – Teen Miss SC from Lexington, SC

• Taylor Spires – SC’s Outstanding Teen from Gilbert, SC

The pageant also presented a check for over $30,000 to Prisma Health Children’s Hospital. For more information, please visit the pageant website at www.littlemisssc.com.
