Chapin police looking to the public for help identifying theft suspect

Chapin, SC (Paul Kirby) – Chapin police officers are turning to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect in an investigation after a theft occurred at McDonald’s on Columbia Avenue recently. The suspect is clearly caught on video and the police believe that someone can identify this person.

The suspect appears to be young and is Caucasian. He was wearing a white tank top over a darker one. He also had on light colored tennis style athletic shorts, a dark belt, tennis shoes, a black of very dark color ball cap with an emblem on the front, and a dark watch on his left wrist. He also had on a pair of dark sunglasses and his hair appears to be curly where it sticks out from under the cap. Remember, he won’t necessarily be wearing the same clothes and can take the cap, watch, and shades off. That’s why you should look closely at his face and his general build.

If you can identify this individual, please leave Captain Craig a message at 803-575-8048 or call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME SC. You can also make tips on CRIMESTOPPERS’ website at midlandscrimestoppers.com.
