Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) – Investigators with the Cayce Department of Public Safety have now released the name of the suspect they have in custody after an early morning fire on Lexington Avenue. They say that Robert Rome Green set fire to the home just before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. In the process, he severely burned a woman and injured himself as well.

Officers say that Green will be charged with attempted murder and other charges related to the fire. He had been charged with violating a no trespass order at the home of the victim in July of this year.

Green will be housed at the Lexington County Detention Center while he awaits a bond hearing.
