Lexington County Blowfish closing their East Main Street office and store

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - The Lexington County Blowfish announced Monday that they were closing their office and store on East Main Street in Lexington. They are moving their entire operation to the Lexington County Baseball Stadium on Ballpark Road. This is being done in an effort to centralize all operations. Shanahan & Company Sports Management, the parent company of the Lexington County Blowfish, have operated a store and office at 101 East Main Street in downtown Lexington since the Blowfish moved from Columbia after the 2014 season. That store will close at the end of August.

Blowfish Co-Owner Bill Shanahan said "Being in downtown Lexington has been a wonderful way to help introduce the Blowfish to the community. Vicki and I are thankful for our time here and getting to know all the wonderful business owners along Main. We'll continue to work hard on helping make family events happen like our co-sponsorship of the annual Lexington County Chili Cook Off at the beautiful IceHouse Amphitheater along with Lexington's Annual Shamrock Parade. " It's been exciting to experience the growth on Main and look forward to continuing to expand our commitment to the Lexington community."

General Manager Theo Bacot said, “We believe it’s a great benefit of our organization to operate fully out of Lexington County Baseball Stadium. This will allow us to continually focus on new events year-round"

“What’s better than having a baseball stadium as your office?” Bacot quipped.
