Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - The Lexington Police Department needs to identify the individuals involved in a recent incident. The suspects were on video while they damaged and took parts off company vehicles. They also went through the vehicle’s beds and toolboxes. This all happened on Dooley Road in the town of Lexington. Police are distributing the video to the public now in hopes that someone can provide some leads.
If you watch the video closely, you can see the men sneaking around in the darkness. At least two are out of the car they arrived in. They plunder through the beds of trucks, open the bins on their sides, and later cut the catalytic converters off. These can be sold for the precious metals inside. Eventually, the video shows the two waiting while someone else backs a vehicle in. The pair that were roaming the yard throw their loot in the car’s trunk and they all take off.
We know the video isn’t the best but watch closely. One man appears to have a light beard or a goatee. One is wearing a cap and the other has on a hoodee. If you have information to share, please contact Detective Johnson at 803-358-1557 or call Midlands Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME SC (274-6372).
