Rodeo producer bringing “Bull Bash” to South Congaree

South Congaree, SC (Paul Kirby) – Bar W Rodeo Productions, LLC said Monday that they are in the planning stages to bring a “Bull Bash” to South Congaree in the spring. Rance Woodley, one of the production company’s owners, said Monday that they are shooting to get everything planned and brought together so that the event can be held in March.

According to Woodley, the one-day event will feature approximately 35 bulls with some of the best riders from across the country. This event is sanctioned by the American Bull Rider’s Tour and any points won in South Congaree will be transferable to the cowboy’s IPRA standings, according to Woodley. He said that spectators can expect a fast-paced competition with some big money on the line as payouts.

Woodley said he currently plans to have about 2,500 seats available. “We are going to have food, drinks, and a mechanical bull to entertain the crowds before and after the event. Once the bull riding starts in the arena, we feel like most people will be glued to their seat for the non-stop action.”

Woodley and his production company are the group that brought the rodeo back to South Congaree several years ago. “We love South Congaree and the people of the area are such great rodeo fans,” Woodley said. “When the opportunity presented itself, we knew South Congaree was the perfect place to have these cowboys show off their bull riding skills.”

The Lexington Ledger will have more information on this event as it draws closer.
