South Congaree, SC (Paul Kirby) – A South Congaree police sergeant has arrested a Swansea man and seized drugs after a traffic stop Saturday. According to the department’s Facebook page, Sgt. Williams stopped Christopher Adkins of Swansea on a tag violation when in the course of interacting with Adkins, Williams located methamphetamines and marijuana in his vehicle.
According to the police, Adkins, 23, has been charged with trafficking methamphetamines for being in possession of 129 grams of the drug. He was also charged with possession of marijuana , possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking methamphetamines in proximity to a school, and possession of other controlled narcotics. He has been booked into the Lexington County Detention Center where he has had a bond set on some of the charges.
