Coroner and SC Highway Patrol investigating fatal collision on Two Notch Road

Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) – Investigators with the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the SC Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal accident that occurred Thursday just after 11:30 a.m. The accident was dispatched as a vehicle versus a motorcycle in the 950 block of Two Notch Road. This is in the vicinity of Hudson’s Smoke House’s catering kitchen and Hoover Buildings. Multiple units from Lexington County’s EMS and the fire service responded. They were assisted by several law enforcement agencies.

No one has released any information at this point because the investigation is in its early stages. We do know that a medical helicopter was first requested for transport but later cancelled because they had an extended response time. The victim was transported by ground from the scene to Lexington Medical Center where he was eventually pronounced dead.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher will be responsible for releasing the victim’s name once she had notified the family. The SC Highway Patrol will release their findings after the investigation is complete.
