Springdale Police Department collecting coats for disadvantaged citizens

Springdale, SC (Paul Kirby) - The Town of Springdale Police Department is collecting coats to keep Springdale citizens warm this winter! All sizes of new or gently used adult and children coats, scarves, hats and gloves will be accepted.

According to the department, these winter donations will be accepted until October 21st. Donations can be dropped at the Springdale Police Department behind the town hall of at the Springdale Elementary School. A coat give-a-way event will take place at Springdale Park on Saturday, October 26th from 10:00 am until 12 noon rain or shine.
