Pelion, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department had detectives on the scene of a reported shooting and armed robbery west of Pelion Monday night. Deputies, EMTs, and firefighters from Lexington County responded to the incident in the 500 block of Tindal Road near Thor Road around 6:15 p.m.
We do know that at one-point, medical personnel were considering flying a patient from the scene to the trauma center to expedite the transport. About 7:00 p.m., agencies across the area received a request from Lexington County's Central Dispatch asking that all officers and other personnel be on the lookout for a vehicle and its occupants that were thought to have been involved.
Law enforcement’s public information staff has not released any information at this point in the investigation. They were still working with their detectives to piece together exactly what happened late into the night. More information can be released once the investigation continues and they are ensured that anything they say does not jeopardize their case.
