Swansea, SC - Volunteering in a local school district is a great way for individuals to “give back” to their communities and make positive impacts on the lives of children. One of Lexington District Four’s current volunteers is Swansea resident Viola McDaniel. Ms. McDaniel has always enjoyed spending time with her three children, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, but she wanted to do more in her community. She decided to volunteer with the Early Childhood Center (ECC), and now she serves weekly in Ms. Howard’s classroom, doing her part in providing a nurturing learning environment for all children. In addition to her service with the school district, Ms. McDaniel chairs the Swansea Community Improvement Organization.
Lexington Four offers a variety of opportunities for volunteer work throughout the school year. They appreciate community interest in sharing time and talents in their schools! Volunteers are a vital part of the educational system and make a difference for students. If you would like to become a volunteer at any of Lexington Four's schools, please visit their school website at www.lex4.org. Thank you to all the volunteers who help lead, learn, serve and excel.
